Rise in Dog Theft

Monday, February 19th, 2007

Once again the BBC has reported on the rise in dog theft. We have noticed this trend for years now, and it is growing more all the time.

The report details how a French Bulldog was stolen from a garden by a group of youths, and how the police were unwilling to press the matter further and prosecute the individuals involved.

We must stress the importance of continued efforts with the police, do not give up and make sure you are given a crime number and the matter is given the attention it deserves.

(mt) Media Temple here we come

The site has been getting slower and slower lately, sometimes taking an absolute age to load, so we have made the decision to switch to new hosting which will hopefully mean lightning fast page loads, which will encourage me to update the site more and provide amazingly interesting content (hopefully).

So brace yourselves and wish me luck in the transfer. God speed!

Stolen Labrador

Sunday, February 11th, 2007

Willow is a black Labrador bitch. She is 3 years old, she is not chipped nor has a collar on. She is of very slight build as she is a fully trained gun dog.

She was taken from 18 North Street, Barming, Maidstone in Kent (ME16 9HF) on the night of the 7th of February 07. She is very much missed and a reward is on offer for her safe return - no questions asked.

Should you have any information relating to this dog, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Stolen Pomeranian

Wednesday, February 7th, 2007

Cherry, a 6lb orange female Pomeranian was stolen out of my car, while still in her airline carrier. She is very friendly, with a shorter fluffy coat that doesn’t lay flat. Her tail fur is not long and she wags her tail a lot - the fur poofs up.

She had her teeth cleaned in December and should still have the remains of a shaved spot on her right front leg from the IV.
She was not wearing a collar but she is AVID microchipped.

If you have any information relating to the theft of Cherry, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Rottweiler adopts new-born lambs

Friday, February 2nd, 2007

The beeb has written a story on a Rottweiler who has adopted two new-born lambs after there were complications during their birth. Molly the Rottweiler stayed with them during the night, licking them to keep their circulation going as their mother would have done.

She is very protective over the two, and will only let their sheepdog go close for a little while, before pushing him away. The cat was also no allowed close for too long!

This just goes to show that Rottweilers are in fact gentle giants, and do have a caring loving side. You can read the storey on the BBC website here.
