BBC Report: Hypoallergenic bred kittens go on sale
Hypoallergenic cats have been bred in the US by the firm Allerca. These cats will not trigger allergic reactions in people who have previously experienced such reactions.
It is said that these cats are not genetically modified in any way, but are instead a result of selective breeding of cats that do not contain glycoprotein Fel d1 in their saliva and skin - the cause of allergic reactions.
